Fenbendazole Powder

Fenbendazole is a benzimidazole-class antiparasitic drug that has been used for decades to treat parasitic infections in various species. It works by disrupting the formation of microtubules in parasitic organisms, preventing them from producing energy and thus killing them. It is often prescribed in conjunction with other wormers to deworm pets and prevent reinfection after treatment. It is available as a palatable, flavoured suspension and a powder form that can be mixed into your pet’s food. It is easily administered and well-tolerated by most animals with few side effects.

Panacur (fenbendazole) is a powerful anthelmintic medicine that destroys many different kinds of intestinal parasites. It is commonly used to treat hookworms, roundworms and tapeworm (Taenia) infections in dogs. It is also sometimes used off-label to treat Giardia in dogs and to treat lungworm infections in swine and cattle.

While it does not have any activity against adult fleas, ticks or lice, fenbendazole does kill larvae and eggs. It is particularly useful in eliminating nematodes, which are very common parasites of domestic animals and wild mammals. It is available as a prescription medication under the brand name Panacur and as a generic under the brand names Safe-Guard and Safe-Fert.

It is important to follow your veterinarian’s directions and precautions when using fenbendazole. If your pet experiences any side effects, contact your veterinarian immediately. Your vet may recommend a fecal examination after treatment to ensure all internal parasites have been killed and determine if additional treatments are required. fenbendazole powder
